What to Expect

For your first appointment, Kirby Grey will ask you a series of questions, the first set related to the main complaint and second set relating to diet, exercise, sleep and other behavior patterns. These questions, together with checking your pulse, tongue, and performing any necessary physical performance tests, help give her a more thorough and concise diagnosis and treatment. Kirby often uses a combination of acupuncture, massage, therapeutic exercises and other East Asian therapies to fully address your health concern. The first appointment can be 60-90min long with all returning appointments lasting roughly an hour.

[reveal title="Kirby Teuila Grey LAc.OM" open="true" color="grey-lite"]Kirby is a health care practitioner and visionary, living in Seattle WA since 2003. Kirby has an incredible love for the field of Acupuncture and it’s complimentary modalities, but has great disdain for the ‘woo-woo’ way it’s been branded. If healers can not connect with your typically normal human being, like let’s say one’s own grandmother or auntie, then what the heck is the point? The healthcare system and Acupuncture specifically is in need of serious innovation and Kirby is committed to being part of that process. Kirby’s ultimate goal is two-part: #1- to make Acupuncture more accessible to the general public so that 100% of the US population sees the practical utility of Acupuncture and make it part of their health regime. To do this, Kirby must become more visible in a variety of communities and enter into spaces that may not have seen Acupuncture as a useful tool for healing in the past. Working with Crossfit SLU is such an example. #2- to change the branding identity of natural and alternative healing in order to transform growing stereotypes and remove the superstition that stops people from recognizing Acupuncture as a trustful modality. And to make it look tight. People buy Apple products not just for the machinery, but because of the beautiful and user-friendly interface. Functionality + Aesthetic appeal is such an amazing combination. Kirby hopes that House of Teuila can become the Apple of healthcare. These goals are interrelated and necessary for the change and transformation of the health care field she would like to see. This all starts at a grassroots level, with it’s humble beginnings at House of Teuila. When Kirby isn’t changing the world of healthcare, you can find her practicing her extremely amateur DJ’ing skills, daydreaming about being the best dancer on earth, reading epic literature, watching sports (go SEAHAWKS), playing MTG, or working with local film director/cinematographer Zia Mohajerjasbi to produce music videos and short films, with the ultimate goal of producing feature films.
